MCLINKO ENDORSES FEDERAL RURAL BROADBAND PROPOSAL

(WYSOX, PA) – Republican candidate for US Congress Doug McLinko today endorsed a House of Representatives rural broadband proposal, calling it a key part of President Donald Trump’s rural prosperity agenda.

“This week, Rep. Chris Collins (R-NY) introduced legislation that focuses on providing high-speed internet access to rural communities often forgotten by large internet providers,” said McLinko, who serves as a Bradford County, PA Commissioner. “I fully support Rep. Collins’ bill that advances President Trump’s plan to increase rural prosperity across America.”

“The President said it best when speaking at the American Farm Bureau Convention: broadband Internet access is an issue of vital concern to rural communities and businesses,” McLinko said. “Here in Bradford County, we’ve worked tirelessly to create a partnership between rural citizens and internet providers. I urge members of Congress continue to support the President’s agenda by backing Rep. Collins’ Inventory of Assets for Communications Facilities Act of 2018.”
